Constitutional Republic vs. Democratic Republic … What is America?

Too many of our citizens do not seem to understand the truth about our countries political standing. From “newly elected” , however illegitimate; President Biden to most of our House Representatives and Senators. All the way down to the higher educated citizens and even to the elementary school houses. “This Is A Democracy!” they yell, because this is the falsehood they are fed and are taught. 1) Who is teaching this false narrative? 2) Who is calling the Constitutional Republic a Democracy? 3) What is the difference between a Constitutional Republic and a Democracy as seen in a Democratic Republic in the first place? 4)Why is this one of the most important lessons that can be learned?

Welcome class, today I will be going a bit out of order. I’m going to start us out with a few definitions. This will answer question #3.

(Merriam-Webster) Constitutional (adj.) – being in accord with the constitution of a state or society.

(Merriam-Webster) Democracy (n.) – government by the people; esp. : rule of the majority.

(Merriam-Webster) Republic (n.) – a government in which supreme power is held by the citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives governing according to the law.

So class, I will let you decide by what you read here…Are we a democracy or a republic? We have a Constitution which is the law of the land. So we are a Constitutional, either way… but is it a Republic or Democracy? America is in fact defined as a Constitutional Republic. Not a Democracy! What makes this so? Our founding fathers ensured that the masses didn’t rule over the minority, hence the electoral college and many advancements in civil rights. “We the people” hold supreme power and vote for our elected officials, not by the rule of majority. As in a Democratic ruled society as seen in more socialist countries.

So who is teaching the false narrative that our Country’s Constitutional Republic is a democracy? This false teaching has been perpetrated as long as I can remember. History class taught how American Democracy was the saving grace of the free world. Our elementary schools, universities, and all forms of higher education seem to run the same falsehood. As if this isn’t bad enough the news uses headlines like, “American Democracy At Risk” when trying to debunk election fraud allegations. Now to the worst violations of all…Those that take an Oath to defend the Constitutional Republic from All Enemies Foreign and Domestic on the floor of The House and Senate Screaming, “THIS IS A DEMOCRACY!!” NO MADAM SPEAKER! THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY…THIS IS A REPUBLIC!!!

Why is this the most important lesson we can learn as an American? The fact that this is a Republic is why the slaves were freed… The fact that this is a Republic is why Women have the right to vote… The fact that this is a Republic is why Gays can get married… The electoral college is just more proof of this fact. A system designed to ensure big cities didn’t rule over the smaller townships and overshadow their vote. A republic allows the citizens to vote where a democracy allows a mob to rule. Us having a Constitutional Republic based upon the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights allowed for the many civil rights advancements to be voted on that we have today .
